Hello and welcome to the St Bede's PTA
We are the Friends and Parents of St Bede’s Community.
We are a group who meet in order to plan and carry out fund raising events for St Bede’s School.
Obviously our main priority is to raise money for the school but we aim to do this by organising things that are fun for the children and their families and us.
Past events include school discos, fashion shows, race nights, family pie and pea supper nights; we have even had an Elton John tribute act which raised a massive amount of money. Our main event of the year is the Summer Fair which is always well supported and raises a great amount.
We aim to provide the extras for the school and pupils that perhaps the school budget may not stretch to for example this year we bought a new stage and sound system. We provide a present for every child at Christmas and treats such as ice creams when the children are on a school trip. We try to ensure money is split fairly across the whole school and always welcome suggestions for the allocation of monies.
We would love to see new faces; in fact our newest members have come up with fresh and exciting ideas that have inspired the whole team. Please see the newsletter for details of the next meeting or catch one of us at school pick up time.
